We've been having a fun elf visit us this year from the North Pole. It is so fun!

We're so grateful for our wilson grandparents. Chris' parents are the best.  I love these pictures of them. 

Shaelee and the ponies

I happen to come into a pile of ponies years ago and they are Shaelee's favorite these days.  She loves to wear her little pj's and line the ponies up to watch the snow. She is a funny one, that's for sure. Eli loves to watch her. She'll get grumpy with him and say,  why is he staring at me and other times she loves it.  One day he was staring out "her" window and she didn't like that.  Brings back memories of traveling in my childhood.  History repeats itself,  that's for sure!

Oh Shaelee said Eli said his first word the other day,  help.  He's almost 7 months.  It kinda did sound like help,  he wanted to be picked up. 

Shaelee sure has a hard time with the back and forth but we've established a better routine and gotten some advice from a life coach that changed everything 8 months ago.

Christmas is coming and it's so magical.  So grateful.

Eli is growing up too fast. He's talking aka babbling and rolling all over and semi army crawling. I should be happy but it's horrible.  When we moved I packed up all of Shaelee's clothes that she wore while Chris and I were dating.  It's so tough to see them grow up so quickly. 

Eli is of course the cutest baby I know. He makes life so bright and his smile melts my heart. 

Chris and I are so lucky.  Lucky in love and lucky with growers. 

Dog bite

Shaelee got bit by a dog yesterday. It was traumatic and scary. Everyone kept telling her to leave the dog alone. She picked up the dog by it's neck and BAM bit her. He is up to date on all his shots but poor girl!

Our new goal is treating animals with love and not so feisty.

To my darling cousin,  I'm so happy you found your sweetheart.  They are out there,  but hard to find.  I'm grateful you got married in Utah so we could come!

This is an interesting post about being a step mom.  In reality step parenting isn't easy.  Shaelee has come over saying very cruel things that her mom says or someone said. It is so sad to me because when people put down Chris they put down Shaelee. Just how if we were to put down Shaelee's mom,  we're putting down Shaelee. I'm not a big fan of co parenting and I don't think it's the best option for a child. For a long time we were dealing with anger. Now Shaelee doesn't remember her parents being together.  She was only a year when they separated.  Then she started telling us about how mommy kicked daddy out and would say right after. Daddy,  I'll never kick you out,  cause I love you.

I haven't been involved like this gf is with her daughters mom because of many reasons.  I know if I was in this situation I'd  hope to be friend this mother figure to my child.  Maybe because of being on this side of it....

To all the blended families. It isn't easy and this family is making it look easy.  Everyone has to be on board. 

Night out in slc

We are so grateful for great friends. We did the art gallery walk and went to dinner.  It was so fun to laugh on the streets of Utah's capital! We lovvvvvve hanging with good friends. Everyone kept asking,  are you friends or family?

We saw beautiful art! I of course loved it.  Eli,  loved the people.  He is a people person,  that's for sure.  We were out during his bed time but he still slept hours 8 hours. I may not be keeping up with my art but this little guy is our world.  So grateful we have him in our life.

So gosh darn spoiled.  Thank you,  everyone! Videos,  texts,  phone calls,  birthday songs,  mail,  treats,  kisses, suprises ... no spankings.  Thank goodness.  I love my birthday.  Feeling the lovvvvvve!
